The Dark Man

In these worlds, there are Elementals.

Fire, the sustenance of life.

Lightning, the spark of life.

Water, the bearer of life.

Earth, the grower of life.

Air, the passer of life.

Spirit, the intelligence of life.

And then, there is The Dark Man.

Arguably the strongest of the Elementals, The Dark Man wanders the cosmos, surveying it's expansion by the hands of the energy he can control. His skin is black as the night, and eyes white as an empty void.

He is the embodiment of Dark Energy, a force that outweighs all the other elements, with the possible exception of Spirit.

It is more potent then the fires of all the suns.

It is more powerful then all the electrical currents.

It is more expansive then all the seas.

It is more abundant then the very matter we see.

It is more numerous then the air around us.

The Dark Man is an unknown. An Elemental lost in time.

He is the Beginning. He is the End. The Alpha. The Omega.

Do not tempt to control him, like man has with the others. More he is an Elemental one can not fathom.

He is simply known as...The Dark Man.

If you couldn't tell, this is The Dark Man.

I haven't really talked about him much at all. I've been working on him for a bit now.

The Dark Man is arguably my strongest character. He can control Dark Energy, which makes up most of our known universe, and is believed to be what is driving the expansion of matter across the cosmos.

He takes the form of a man for reasons unknown. He tends to speak in riddles and vague notions of what might be true or false. He will never give a straight answer.

If he has a side, no one knows. If he supports a group, then it is only in spirit, and never with a helping hand.

On a side note, this character started development when I was reading my Discover Magazine, and one of the articles discussed Dark Energy/Matter, and how it takes up most of the universe.

I thought that, hey, a character who could control that stuff would probably be pretty cool.

Eventually, after some fine tuning, and discussion with my dad, I settled on him being an Elemental.

I think, hopefully, I'm the first person to think this up.
