5. Unbreakable
Samuel Hawkins found himself pressed into the wall, legs scrambling as he was lifted into the air, then smashed once more against the brick behind him. He was a fairly ordinary looking young man. Brown hair, slightly tanned skin, and brown eyes. He wasn't dressed all to differently from other people. But he was still this man's target.
The wall was beginning to give way behind him, his jacket was ruined, and the man who was holding him up had a crazy look in his eyes. This man didn't look like he should have this kind of strength. He was shorter then Samuel, by a few inches, and a little wiry looking. Put him in some nice clothes, and maybe some glasses, he would remind one of an accountant.
"I will break you..." the crazy eyed man chuckled, "With my strength, I can destroy anything! I am the strongest! You are not unbreakable."
Samuel tried to pry his fingers between the man's hand and his own neck, gasping slightly. Thankfully his throat had the same ability the rest of him seemed to have, but Samuel was still having a little difficulty breathing.
"You...don't have to...do this..." Samuel choked out, "Be...reasonable!"
Ethan Vire, an unstoppable force, simply shook his head, "Oh no...I have proven myself to others, able to easily best them...but you, oh, you. No, you're different from the rest. My hands can't break your skin, they can't snap your bones..."
Samuel glared at Ethan, still struggling, as Ethan spun around suddenly, letting go of his opponent. Samuel went flying backwards, crashing into a steel beam.
Samuel got up carefully, not looking hurt, but increasingly angry.
The sky above them was beginning to lighten up, their night fight soon to be exposed to the world. The basis of a skyscraper was all around them, building supplies and the like littered their arena.
"Innocent people are going to be here soon..." Samuel reasoned, "We don't have to do this..."
Ethan chuckled again, walking forward nonchalantly, placing his hand on a steel beam that had yet to be placed. With ease, he lifted it up in one hand, looking up towards it's structure.
"Let them come. They will be witnesses to my power," Ethan said, and pulled back his arm, still holding the steel beam. He let it fly forward suddenly, going at a tremendous force, hitting Samuel straight in the chest.
Samuel yelled, grunting against the blow, unable to counter it with his own, normal strength, and went flying backwards.
Dust everywhere, bricks falling around him. Screaming.
Samuel was dizzy, picking himself up, only to find Ethan in front of him, punching forward and sending him back even further through the building.
People, just getting to work panicked as Samuel crashed through the office building, still unhurt, picking himself back up, looking towards the innocent people.
"RUN!" he yelled, then turned, seeing Ethan carefully maneuvering across the rubble towards him.
"Well, well," Ethan said, as he entered the new building, a crowd watching in frozen shock. Their were sirens in the distance. "You could take all that? Impressive. No one else could even take a tenth of what I dished out to you so far, Sammy."
Samuel glared at the impossibly powerful man in front of him.
"You can not get through me, Ethan..." the immovable object that was this human declared, "Even with all your strength, you can not break my skin. You can not snap my bones, crush my windpipe, or play your sick games with..."
Ethan smiled, madness in his eyes.
"Well then...I'll have fun trying breaking the unbreakable, won't I?"
